  • Your safety is our first priority. Transit services may be closed or offer reduced schedules and adjusted routes due to snow or ice. There are three types of service schedule changes during bad weather:

    • LIMITED Service: This means there will be some delays in service, and routes may be modified. Under LIMITED Service, the Flex Bus will only stop at Berger Hospital, Kroger, Walmart, Hope House, JFS and the library. Medical trips, life-sustaining dialysis trips and scheduled employment trips will be provided.

    • SEVERE Service: If road conditions allow, we will provide essential medical trips, life-sustaining dialysis trips, and scheduled employment trips. No deviation stops are available. The Flex Bus will only offer service at the following stops: Berger Hospital, Kroger, Walmart, Hope House, JFS and the library. You must get on and off at these stops.

    • NO Service: All routes, appointment and employment trips are cancelled due to hazardous road conditions when it is a NO Service day.

How can I find out if my travel is impacted by inclement weather?

    • The PICCA team will phone riders with scheduled appointments to discuss the status of their scheduled trip.

    • Notices will be posted on PICCA’s website, Facebook and X pages.

    Winter Weather Tips:

    1. Buses may run late. Please anticipate that it may take longer to reach your destination.

    2. The buses may slide when coming to a stop. When you see the bus, step back and wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before approaching the door.

    3. Dress appropriately.
